Pot Noodles

Is it me or are pot noodles no where near as nice as they used to be? They have much reduced salt levels and no artifical colours, and they just taste, well bland. Where is that taste explosion that I remember from pot noodles of old? Either my taste buds have changed, or this removal of all things bad for you has led to a duller, blander product.
