I am thinking about a new conservatory. Mine is very holey and drafty, it leaks when it rains. My dilema is whether or not it will add to the value of my home. Alternatively I could get double glazing. Which do people think would be more worthwhile?

Double Glazing certainly adds value to a home, especially with the interest in energy efficient homes. According to some survey apparently nearly half of all first time buyers will be influenced by how energy efficient your home is. Double galzing will tick another box for them and may well help the sale of the home.

Conservatories add real value to UK homes.  A good investment!

I thought a conservatory would be a good idea. Financing was easy from www.equityloan.tv and the plans were all good to go. It had double glazing, caught the heat from the summer sunshine, not that it is ever very hot in Britain. The problem for me is that the conservatory company were installing in a number of houses on the same street, and now they all look exactly the same. Conservatories are a great idea for developing the house, giving it a new feature, adding something "Mediterranean" but not when it looks exactly the same as your neighbours.

If you have an exisiting lean to or extention it should be fine, but it has to be of good quality.
might be no need for a new conservetory but it should be double glazed. if your selling your house it will be a very good idea, youll make back the money you innvested easily.

spend £15k get £15k added to the value of your home when you sell it.

or get just double glazing and youll cover that cost, its probably the best option considering the houseing market.

depands on what your looking to do, you will add the value for your costs.

but all home should have double glazing it cant be shoddy

im not sure that you get the full cost of your conservatory back when you sell you home, typically any home improvement will only add a proprotion of its cost to the value of its home. Things like new Kitchens and Conservatories are probably some of the best improvements you can do, things like swimming pools are probably the worst

I would image you'll get maybe 80% of the value of your conservatory back if you sell the house
