Amusing DIY

Does anyone have any amusing DIY stories or disasters? I'm sure I've had my share of a few over the years. Including the chest of drawers that fell out of the window, or the wrought iron wood burning stove that we just could NOT lift up the stairs.

A friend of mine tried to change a dishwasher without turning the water off first. Caused several thousand pounds worth of flood damage.

well me and my brother were replacing a chandelier at a posh house a bit ago and were ready to catch it when it dropped, but our grandad undid the wrong bolt and ... no hang on that was fools and horses.

Me had the same problem ....... but just solved

when i was working as an electrician i went to a job where the guy reported a faulty socket. I showed up undid the two screws pulled it away from the plastic back box to have a look..... (NO WIRES)?

The person then told me they had only just brought it new from BnQ and was going to return it as faulty if I couldnt fix it??

Some mothers do have em!!!!!!!!

Any DIY I have ever attempted has been "amusing"... especially to to the tradesfolk I've had to pay to come and fix it!
