Today,18th Feb i noticed the difference in fuel prices in my area(Shropshire), and fell sick and tired of paying too much for my petrol EG: shrewsbury 100.9, Wem 101.9, market Drayton 103.9. I will from now on travel 20 miles to fill up even though that seems crazy  I can get up to 45 to the gallon out of my car.I am also changing the way I fill up as I usually only put £20-30 pounds worth in as a rule but will put the max in. If we all did this and shopped around at only the cheapest garages, these higher priced garages would have to get the message, would'nt they?.

its not really the garages that are the problem, its the oil companies that sell the fuel to them. Large garages get good discounts due to their regular volume orders. Small garages have all sorts of problems! And the smaller garages have much larger overheads per fill up than the large ones. Did you know there are some EU requirements now on air extraction in the fourecourts to reclaim fuel vapour? Your massive Esso station is going to easily be able to absorb this cost, but what about the poor local village garage?
