I am going to put my offer for buying a flat which needs a bit modernisation. I wonder if anyone suggests the price before I put an offer:
New Carpet 600sq ft incl stairs
replace 7standard windows with double glazed

Kitchen
new gas hob+oven

bathroom
wash basin
buthtub

Curtains for 5 windows

I am first time buyer, no idea about cost/DIY. Would appreciate an approximate cost of labour+material. The location is at Carshalton near Sutton (SM6)

Many Thanks

Tough question! Prices vary a great deal, but here is a rough guide

New Carpet 600sq ft incl stairs   - £1000
replace 7standard windows with double glazed  - £3500

Kitchen - £4000
new gas hob+oven - £500

bathroom - £4000
wash basin - £100
buthtub - £100

Curtains for 5 windows - £500

So whats that, maybe 15K in total?
