I HAVE JUST BEEN TO MY NHS DENTIST FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 1 WEEK FOR A SCALE AND POLISH, HAD TO HAVE 2 VISITS AS HAD TO NUMB BOTH SIDES OF MY MOUTH , THE NHS COST FOR SCALE AND POLISH IS ABOUT 16 POUND, BUT MY DENTIST HAS CHARGED ME 44.60 SAYING I FALL INTO THAT CATOGORY WITH 2 VISITS , BUT THAT PRICE RANGE IS FOR FILLINGS ETC , IS MY DENTIST IN THE RIGHT, OR ANY ADVICE WHO TO CONTACT TO FIND OUT, THANKS

Yes, he is corrrect.
2 or more visits to treat periodontitis (gum disease) inc local anesthetic etc puts you into band 2 NHS treatment; £46 in england/£39 wales
