Oil refinary workers across the country are on unofficial strikes at the moment in protest at jobs for new building projects going to Italian contractors instead of UK workers - probably quite unhelpful at the moment considering the number of UK job losses that are being seen.

These strikes may have an unpleasant effect on the UK drivers however - Increased fuel prices! With less oil being turned into petrol and diesel for our cars we can expect to see supply decrease and prices shoot upwards. If this workers unrest is not resolved quickly then we can expect to see ithurt out wallets pretty soon.

What do you think? Should they be on strike? Will you be happy to pay more at the pump in order to help protect UK only jobs?
