Hi, I have a problem with my Daewoo Nubira 1600cc petrol manual transmission car. I had clouds of white smoke coming from my exhaust, and like you suggest on the website suspected the head gasket.I took off the cylinder head, sent it to Oldham Engines to have it skimmed and refitted it with a new gasket. No joy the problem was still there I then bought some Steel Seal and tried that again no joy.In desparation I bought a low mileage engine from a scrap yard through a dealer, took out my own engine and fitted the replacement engine. No joy the problem still exists, I have disconnected the water feed to the inlet manifold and depressurised the cooling system bt neither made any difference. When I start up the engine from cold there is no white smoke it developes as the engine gets hotter and when the fans kick in it is at its worst, like fog. If anyone can help me or diagnose the problem I would be very greatful as I am losing the will to live over it.
