I've just had the following work done to my bathroom by an electician the plumber was using.  I thought the plumbers quote included everything but it turns out I have to pay an additional cost to the electrician.  He gave me a quote for £300 which he said was his daily rate of £200 plus parts.  This is he is charging for:
Remove existing shower switch
Remove existing light above sink
Supply and install three GU10 fire rated ceilign mounted shower lights
Supply and install one switched fused spur for underfloor heating
Install underfloor heating controls supplied by customer.

I wasn't present so don't know if the work took all day, but have since been lead to believe that most electricians charge by the hour.

Would be grateful for any advise.

Thanks

probably not far off maybe a tad dear. make sure you get a minor works or electrical installation certifcate and that he registers this work for Part P. if he has then you will recieve this through the post.
